Permits in Venezuela: What You Need to Know

fixer venezuela

In Venezuela, creating any kind of video requires careful preparation. You must first obtain professional or tourist visas from the relevant Venezuelan authorities before you can even consider getting film permits. As your local production support company, will assist you in navigating all the red tape. If you want to film in areas that are considered politically sensitive, such as locations near borders or military buildings, etc., you will need additional approvals and be extra cautious when filming here.

Timing Your Venezuela Film Production around the Weather

Venezuela has two seasons that divide the year. What is known as the “dry season” starts in December and lasts until April.  The days are long, warm, and dry, though the nights can get a little colder. It’s the best time for filming, because, as well as the weather being pleasant, you can also move to different locations with greater ease.

The rainy season is between May and November. Though there’s usually a good bit of sun in the mornings, the afternoons and evenings can be wet and stormy. Moving through the jungle is very difficult at this period. However, if you plan to film Angel Falls, which is known as the world’s tallest uninterrupted waterfall, then the end of the wet season really is the best time to shoot it at its finest; in the summer, there is less water falling over the majestic cliffs.
